TRAIL MASTER LLC,
We are located in Wasilla, Alaska along the
Iditarod Trail--just 40 miles north of Anchorage on
Knik Goosebay Road.
The cabins are located 2.5 miles south of Wasilla
along the Knik-Goosebay road. The Iditarod race
headquarters is next to our location within easy
walking distance. Lake Lucille is just down the
road less than a mile. That is the lake the
now famous Governor Palin lives on.
The Mat-Su Valley is such a diverse area that you
can be in the woods fishing and in just a matter of
minutes be in the city. There are many great trails
for hiking, snow machining, dog sledding, cross
country skiing, golf, three miles away, Lake Lucille
is a half mile away. Snow machine rentals, ATV
rentals, boat rentals, grocery stores, movie
theater, and a bowling lanes nearby. Just go across
the street to the Famous Iditarod Headquarters and
meet some famous Musher's and take a sled dog ride. Pizza delivery close by as well as a great rib
shack. Most people end up wanting their own
little cabin by the time they leave.
Alaska Birch Syrup
Company LLC. Alaska Birch Syrup Company
site is
www.alaskasyrup.com
.
Birch syrup
is on the endangered food list. The Birch
Syrup Company is trying to relocate to
where they can manufacture enough syrup for their
demands just picking up new customers in Denmark and
Japan. The weather change has had a great effect on
syrup production in this area. The
original Iditarod racing trail is in front of our log cabin
gift shop. The race once started right from the
Headquarters which is across the street. The Iditarod is the famous sled dog race to Nome, Alaska--1,049 miles.
The Iditarod does not start from this location any
more but the tour buses and tourists in general
come this direction in the summer to visit the
Iditarod Headquarters which
is located across the street from the Endeavor
corner of our property. The Iditarod offers
dog sled rides and has a museum of history on Dog
Mushing in Alaska. Because of the lack of snow
the Iditarod race has officially started in Willow
the past few years permitting enough snow is
available even in that location.
OUR CABINS
There is no smoking in our cabins but we provide a
covered porch on each cabin and a nice bench to
accommodate smoking customers. Each cabin is a very cute
16 X 20 efficiency one-room with ¾ bath. (towels
provided) It has a 4 burner gas range with oven, full
size refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker. Each cabin
has a small living area which has a gas fireplace,
DVD. We rent DVD's at the gift shop. A queen
bed (linens provided), and queen couch (linens provided)
is in each cabin. Cable T.V is to be installed
June 26, 2009 as we could never get any reception after
the conversion even with converter boxes. We have
YFI available now. The cabins sleep four adults
comfortably. Clean linen will be furnished weekly so
guests may need to bring more towels. The kitchen
has pots, pans, cutlery, dishes, glasses, and flatware.
You must furnish your own food and toiletries. The
cabins have hard wood flooring and tile so be sure to
bring your slippers. There is no maid service available.
There is a mandatory $50.00 cleaning deposit, which is

A queen bed and a queen sofa sleeper
is in each cabin. Each cabin sleeps four adults
comfortably.

A warm gas fireplace on thermostat heats the cabin. It only looks like a wood
stove but gives each cabin a homey feel.

Cute kitchens in every cabin with everything you need to cook your fresh
fish or wild game, It even has a full size refrigerator/freezer.

Just under the window in our cabin1 is a breakfast nook,
and even the teapot on the stove whistles welcome.
Cute Alaskan touches everywhere in these cabins
